kde 3.4 - great, but dead :-(

evening all. if i sign up to one more forum the web 'ill be a sea of trickric's, but what the hell, here i am :-).

will make it quick as i've to have a shower yet, but basically my kde upgrade didn't go too well, i've not had much luck on my regular forums, and stability is now so bad i'm resorting to plugging that thread from the official kde forums... so here's the link:

...i know its become somewhat of a large thread, but PLEASE read through and post back any suggestions, whether here or on the thread itself. i'm out of idea's now and don't have much options left other than to beg you lot :-P hehe.
