How do you get wireless connect at startup?

How do I get Wireless Assistant to connect at startup?

You'd think that checking the "Automaticlly connect on startup" would do just that....however, Clicking the Connect button works fine from within Wireless Assistant, so I know it works.

Alternatively, I've tried working with Network Device Control (I'm on Fedora 6...don't want to upgrade yet). It's just a GUI for the /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-wifi0 file. This file doesn't contain the WEP code even though I entered it into the last tab for wifi0 "Wireless". It fails when I try to activate. Any idea of how to proceed?
