I remember reading in the past that many users question why the signature placement is always at the end of an email when replying. I also remember answers stating that this is normal, yet many users will disagree that the signature on the reply should be automatically placed at the beginning of the message (allowing for a reply to be placed above it of course). Another reply I saw stated that if users didnt like it, they could change the code. That would be great, however I don't have those skills.

Is there any change in the future for this?

Also, I just upgraded to Kubuntu and it came with KMAIL 1.9.6. I have noticed that the cursor on all replies is placed at the end of the mail as if they think that is where a reply should be placed. I cannot seem to see a setting for that. Am I missing something or am I being told that replies always go to the bottom (including signatures) in the world of Kontact/KMail?
