Konqueror as web browser

For me, Konqueror ALWAYS fails to load random images, also it fails and or takes forever to connect and never finishes it's job doing so. Can this be fixed?

depends a bit on your linux distibution. Some, like opensuse, offer a setting that you can toggle, while on others you need to define a environment variable to do so.

the variable is export KDE_NO_IPV6=true

you can, and then start konqueror in that same terminal to see if it works.

If it does, you need to make sure linux executes that command at every boot.

also, konqueror keeps opening a new window every time I click a link, do you know how to fix that?

This method isn't fixing the problem. I've checked and unchecked "Open links in new tab instead of in new window", and the problem still occurs both ways. How can I fix this?

you can put it in a configuration file that gets loaded everytime you login.
I think ~/.bashrc is a good place, or /etc/profile.

You can also put it in the startkde script. But that is only an option for experienced users (if you mess up the startkde script, kde will not launch anymore)
