Problems with KDE at 800x600

Hi,

I'm an avid Gnome user looking to make a switch to KDE. One nagging problem I keep running across while using KDE has to do with screen resolution. My Linux box is an older Toshiba laptop with a 12.1" screen with a max resolution of 800x600. All menus that I have run across under Gnome has been scalable and usable under an 800x600 resolution. Unfortunately, I have run across several menus under KDE that just don't fit on the screen. The menus continue below the edge of the screen. It makes it impossible to click "ok" at the bottom to save changes. In some instances the programs themselves are too big. I've tried scaling the menus and that are as small as they get. Is there anything I can do about this? Is my only solution a laptop with a bigger resolution?

Thanks!

Menus don't have "OK"s to click, you must be talking about dialogs or windows. As a work-around move the window, you can do this while holding Alt and left-clicking and dragging with the left mouse button anywhere within the window.
