Bigger icons

Hi,
This is my first post. I am a gnome user for many years now, however this new release of KDE ... made me think on ..."do a swicth ". So please understand my ignorance about KDE....
My doubt concerns the icons size. I want to increase the icons on the menu that pops up when clicking on the big"K"; It´s the main menu. It seems that the icons size is always 16 by defaultt. How can i increment the size in order to manage a confortable icon size in a resolution of 1280x1024 :?:

maybe increasing the font used in the menu would provide more spacing there by increasing the available area for icon size

No.I already did that. The font increases size but the icon still remains very smalll. It´s breaking my nerves :evil:
