Older version of KDE for older computer?

Hi, I want to use KDE on an older computer (P1 166 mhz, 32 mb ram) and I would like to know which version of KDE is the least resource intensive? I assume since KDE 1.0 was released in 1998, it should run fine on the above mentioned system, however if there is any version which is even less resource intensive I would like to know about it. I realize that such an early version of KDE will not have all the extra features found on the latest version but that's ok, I hardly ever use most of those features anyways, I just really like the look and feel of KDE. Any advise is welcome.

I don't know about resources intensivity but I have a PII 300MHz and since KDE 3.0 I am only seeing upgrades in performance. I don't know if this performance is obtained by using more memory mapped stuff so you would probably stay with KDE 2.0 or a branch from it

KDE 3.2 runs just fine, but you need more memory

KDE is not processor intensive, but it is memory intensive. With 256 mb of memory, you will not believe how fast your computer can still be. With 128, you will do reasonably well.
