Konqueror settings saving?

Hi, i use Mandrake 10.1 rc1 and KDE3.2.3

Now i use Konqueror to browse my local HDD, and i changed a few things that it looks like the ms explorer ... now i want to save it .. i saved the theme.

When i restart konqueror everything is resettet .. i can load the theme i created but if i close it again, its again lost ...

Does anyone has an idea what to do, so that it always start with my preferences that i selected?

Setup Konqueror the way you want it, then select Settings -> Save View Profile .

Save it for each profile (ie. webbrowser, filemanager etc...)

Normally the customizations to the profiles are saved under ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/profiles/<profilename>

You may want to check whether this folder exists, has the correct permissions, and if a file with the name of the profile you modified exists.

Well it DOES save my themes, when i push "Save Theme"

But if i restart/reopen konqueror its all set to default and i have to reload my saved theme (yes, i can load it manually) but i think it should keep the settings if i close the konqueror

Ah, now I know what happened: You didn't change the already existing profiles (e.g. webbbrowsing) but you created a new one under a new name. I hadn't gotten that...

Changing the openProfile option is indeed the right thing to do then. :-)
