Quake III on Linux

Okay, I have Q3A installed on my MDK 9.1 system using the Loki installer, and I think I have it updated to 1.32, but when I play, my mouse won't work. What I mean is that I can shoot with mouse1 and the scroll wheel works, but when ever I move the mouse, the crosshair doesn't. The problems occurs during game play and in the main menu too. Does anyone know how to solve this? Quake III is the only game I have that's worth playing on Linux, and my unreliable Windows laptop isn't working.

I know it's been a while since you have posted this message and you have probably sorted it out anyway, but just in case you haven't I reply. I had the same problem when I first installed patch 1.32 and the only way I managed to go around it was by installing 1.29 then 1.32b that did cure the issue I had with the mouse not working! If you are playing it now day let get together online at some point and have a bit of a death match. I’ll be inviting some other folks for a bit of a quake 3 gaming session.

Yea, for a while it worked for two weeks after a dozen different combinations of reinstallations, but now it's not working again. On another computer there is mouse, but the new Radeon card on it isn't working cause i can't figure how to get rid of the software 3D that's conflicting with the hardware acceleration cand causing Quake II to crash, so I'm still in the process of sorting all my files for backup on this computer so that I can do a clean install of MDK 9.2 and hoping all my games will run.

Talking of Quake II, I have not played Q2 for a long time now, I guess it is time to find the old Installation Disk and get it installed again. :D If you do have the Q3 working again lets have a match at some point, it will be fun!

Yea, it works! I think upgrading from MDK 9.1 to 9.2 also helped. :) Unfortunately, Bittorrent and Flash doesn't work now. :(
