Help with desktop pager and panel

I need to get my desktop pager on the panel. the kstart --tosystray option does not exist for me, using kstart version 1.9. Any other ways i can get this to work. Appreciate ure help.

Right Click on Panel -> Add -> Applet -> Pager does not work?
