KPPP Problems after update to KDE 3.2

Hi all,

sorry to bother you with this, but I don't know what else I can try. After I upgraded to KDE 3.2 on my Suse 8.2 System, I can't use KPP to dial in with my ISP. I get an exit Code of 2 which means

Quoted

An Error was detected in processing the options given, such as two mutually exclusive options being used.
.

If I use KPP as Root I get the same error and the following entries in the logfile:
[code:1]Aug 10 15:20:52 MyDomain pppd[7377]: Plugin passwordfd.so loaded.
Aug 10 15:20:52 MyDomain pppd[7377]: pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0

I can dial in using wvdial without any problems. All User settings etc. should be correct as it worked before (KDE 3.1)

I would be really grateful if someone has an idea. I can't ask the users to open a Terminal and Type "wvdial ISP-Name"

Thank you in advance.

Cheers

Peter

KPPP never connects, logs erro

Newbie here....

Using Mandrake 10, I am trying to connect using KPPP. I cannot get connected to my ISP, always getting an Exit status 17 error message from KPPP.

The PPP-logfile says:

Sep 17 23:15:06 labbebox pppd[6557]: pppd 2.4.1 started by labbe, uid 501
Sep 17 23:15:06 labbebox pppd[6557]: Using interface ppp0
Sep 17 23:15:06 labbebox pppd[6557]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/536ep
Sep 17 23:15:19 labbebox pppd[6557]: Serial line is looped back.
Sep 17 23:15:20 labbebox pppd[6557]: Connection terminated.
Sep 17 23:15:20 labbebox pppd[6557]: Exit.

Can anyone help with this? Any guidence would be sincerely appreciated.

P.S., You can see by the log file times that I've been up for awhile trying to resove this ( )
