I have redhat 9 and just installed the latest ver of qt from trolltech. when i run ./configure, everything seems to go ok until i get

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.2) (headers and libraries) not
found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
[root@LinuxBox kopete-0.8.4]# make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

which I don't understand since qt is installed. I'm still a novice user with redhat but any help would be great
