Invoke Kmail from Firefox.........

How does one invoke Kmail from within Firefox (0.9.2) when a mailto: link is clicked?

This is the only extention that i cannot install. These instructions are pretty straight forward --> http://mozex.mozdev.org/installation.html but "nothing happens".. hehe...

I'm running 0.9.1. Do I need to compile it with gnome and/or moznoxft support?

If you compile Fx with GTK2 support you should be able to set the mailer in GNOME (gconf I think they call it) and then have it work, but it was always kind of hit-and-miss. This kind of nuisance was one of the reasons I switched to Konqueror for general use.
