and yes, i did try the configuring shortcuts deal. mine by default was set to none. and apperently somehow still is. even though it says it isnt.

try "bzip -d <file>" or "bunzip <file>". Konqueror should hava a service menu do decompress the file but I had a problem with some formats and I don't remember if this is one of them.

You probably have tried this already, but here's how I did it:
Open a chat window, then Settings -> Configure Shortcuts, scroll down to the "Send Message" variable and change it from the default (alt+enter) to merely enter.

The confusing part for me was how to change it. Scroll to "send message", select "custom", click on the key button to the right of it, select "primary shortcut", click on the white X (clear shortcut). After the shortcut is clear, the key button will be blank. Now simply hit the "enter" or "return" button on your keyboard. It will record the action and make "enter" the new default.
