kopete IRC functionality..

A few things I'd like to see in kopete:

- When connecting to IRC, automatically join the channels added to the contacts (but don't show the chat windows).
- Closing the irc chat window should not part the channel
- When there's activity in a channel, make the name of the channel in Italics (or some other notification method that doesn't involve blinking icons).
- When a highlighted word appears, flash the channel & queue a new message (so I can press the global key to recieve a message)

On windows, I use Miranda, which has *the* best implementation of an IRC client in an instant messanger.

I'd love to see these get into kopete soon, as this is one stumbling block for me to use linux full-time..

Thanks, and great work on kopete! It's the defacto IM on linux as far as I'm concerned.. (:

Cheers,
Curtis aka Eto.

These seem like excellent suggestions... I second them.

If you would like to request these features in kopete your best option is to file a feature request wishlist for kopete on bugs.kde.org. Kde-Forum.org is a community website, and while kopete links to us as a source for getting configuration and other forms of help for kopete, we are not officially affiliated with the developers.

With that said, I hope you do file a wishlist on bugs.kde.org because these seem like sensible notions for the IRC plugin of kopete to me.
