kopete .8beta2 kde 3.1

i get 2 configure errors for some kde 3.2 programs missing...

kconfig_compiler and other one

i comented out the lines refering to those programs in configure file, and i can get it to complete the configure process.

anyway i get an error with make:

andyrock@linux:~/Software/kopete-0.8beta2> make
cd . && /bin/sh /home/andyrock/Software/kopete-0.8beta2/admin/missing --run autoheader
Can't locate object method "path" via package "Autom4te::Request" at /usr/bin/autom4te line 81, <GEN1> line 116.
autoheader: /usr/bin/autom4te failed with exit status: 1
make: ** [config.h.in] Erro 1

so .. is there a way to install .8beta2 with kde 3.1?

The Kopete website has .8beta2 and .8beta1 posted strictly for KDE 3.1.x users. KDE 3.2 users already have this release. I was never able to compile Kopete .8beta1 on KDE 3.1 or 3.2, and I'm downloading .8beta2 now to see if it works. Your best bet is to get Kopete CVS though ~ Because I don't believe beta1 worked for anybody on 3.1.

08beta1 works

yep i have 0.8beta1 with this system

running kde 3.1... i just had to delete the "doc" directory, ./configure... etc
it works ok here..

0.8beta2 is another story... :-(
