Do you use kppp for dailup connections, or another program (e.g if you have DSL or Cable)?

When using kppp, check if the dns servers of your providers are configured correctly.

When using another type of connection, open /etc/resolv.conf as root with an editor, like kwrite.
Place your nameservers in this file, like this:

nameserver 123.456.789
nameserver 234.567.890

Need Help

Hay, I am new to KDE, been using dropline gnome for ages now and I can't figure out how to add my network card to the network connections so that I can connect.

Not sure where to go. Am running Slamd64 10.2 and the KDE which comes with it....

Thanks for any help you can give me.

The network setup is below the level of the desktop environments. If it works when using GNOME, it should also work when using KDE
