I am going nuts. Been trying to connect to my ISP with kinternet while using KDE, yet it keeps telling me that my password is incorrect even though it is the right one. Strange thing is I get the same problem with the only other connection app I could discover.
My modem is detected in YaST2 and configured properly, so is there anything else someone can suggest I do?
Not sure if it's relevant but have you set-up the Mail options in Yast. I did initially and it seemed to cause problems so I deleted all data leaving just that in Kmail itself.
Kppp was in my SuSE 8.0 but disappeared after an online update - or rather it's still there but out of action.
Jim
If you are using the SuSE 8.1 kde rpm's then I recommend that you install kdenetwork3-dialup-3.1.1-47.i586.rpm, assuming you are on kde 3.1.1. This is where kppp is located.
If not, please let us know what you are running when you post, i.e what versions, etc.
Thanks for all the help guys..but **smack me for this one* apparently all I needed to do was use the full network name on my ISP to get it to work. Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.
