Hi,
I'm using mpg123. It's a commandlinetool but works very well. I don't know a GUI for it, but perhaps you want to take a look at apps.kde.com.

You can use a plugin from xmms

Hi.
You can use the disk-writer plugin from xmms to convert mp3s into waves.
Just try it.
