KDE 3.2 start problems

When I start kde with startx, I only see the mousepointer and a grey background.

Mandrake?

You would not happen to be using Mandrake? I get the same problem, and I suspect there is something strange with Mandrake rather than KDE.

Looks similar...

Hi, that looks almost exactly the same as the problem I had before when I was compiling KDE. For me, it was QT. I had 3.3 installed and it died the same way, changing my symlink to QT3.2.3, KDE started up.

Hope this helps,
Wokman

Hm

That sounds like it could be worth investigating. Thanks!

Yes!

I compiled 3.2.1 using Konstruct, which apparently uses QT 3.2.3, and now... yes! Success!
