3 items log-out

As youmight know, certain distros (as RedHat, SuSE) modify the log-out windows, leaving as only option the logou not the classic list of 3 radio buttons withlogout/shutdown/erstart. Is there any way to restore the 3 options list?

First you have to change the kdm settings for "Sessions -> Allow Shutdown -> Console" to Everybody.
For quick acces type in a Konsole:
[code:1]
# kdesu kcmshell kdm
[/code:1]

Then you need to turn on "Confirm logout" in the Session Manager Control Modul.
[code:1]
# kcmshell kcmsmserver
[/code:1]

3 items logout

Well, unfortunately it didn't worked at all. In fact all those were already set, but no change... the same stupid "End session for mihai?" with a yes/no button.
Could it be because the login manager is gdm not kdm.
'cause in RedHat9 (that's what I have), I can't change the login manager. Modifying /etc/sysconfig/desktop doesn't seem to have any effect :(
Please help! I have enogh of logging out to turn off my box :!:

Yes, in order to get all the options back, you should replace GDM by KDM..
Editing /etc/sysconfig/desktop should work, add the following line:

[code:1]DISPLAYMANAGER="KDE" [/code:1]
