Right now i have two ways of starting kde:
as root with command `kdm'
as any user with commands `export XSESSION=kde-3.1.2;startx`
i tend to prefer the first, since i am lazy. Is one of them substantially better than the other? i would hate to be exposing security holes by running kdm as root, except i suppose its run setuid root eventually anyway.
