apps no longer minimize to dock.

After a windows manager crash (and reboot) I have found that when I minimize windows, they disappear and no longer show up in the 'dock'. They are still running, as I can switch to them using the desktop menu.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get them to reappear in the dock? I've looked around at preferences and can't find anything that fixes it.

Try creating a test user and check if kde works normally under this user.
If so, you can fix your own account the 'rude way' by deleting/renaming ~/.kde(3) and all kde related files and directories in /tmp

Whan this solves the problem you can (if your renamed the files/directories) place configuration directories and files of your apps (like kmailrc, kppprc, etc..) into the new ~/.kde/..

I'm in the same boat and the delete thing didn't work. This is really annoying. Doing ALT + TAB is getting on my nerves now.

Anyone come across this one before?
