Fstab resets automatically

I have changed my /etc/fstab file so that i can mount my windows drives under the user option, however it seems that everytime i boot, or restart, the fstab is rewritten, and the entries which i have added are removed. I have noticed that there is a file called fstab.REVOKE in /etc, which contains the details of the two drives which i mount. They are as such:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/win_c vfat defaults,noauto,user

i have also needed to recreate the direcories which the HD's are mounted onto, as they seem to be deleted.

i am running RH9.0, could anybody PLEASE help me out!

thanks
Seb

try changing you options to something like this:

/dev/hda5 /mnt/hda5 vfat umask=0,quiet,defaults 0 0

it works fine for me in rh9.
