Memory probs

running either redhat 8 or 9, i have a huge memory usage (489/502MB)

althought only 100 is used for applications and buffering, the rest (approx 350) is being used for cache. Is this a problem, as it seems to me? and if it is, how do i stop the huge mem usage?

No, not a problem.
Linux uses available memory to cache disk IO operations.

Cache memory is always freed in case an application needs more.
