Anyone know why Quanta Plus is adding an extra line between lines each time I open it?

For example, the first time I write my code looks like this:

<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>
<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>

<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>

<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>

Then if I open it up again, it looks like:
<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>


<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>



<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>



<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>

If I save it again and open it up:
<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>






<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>







<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>







<somecode her>blahblahblah</morecodehere>

What's up? Presumably it's interpreting line feeds incorrectly...or something?
