I miiss update upgrade tool working

I tried Ubuntu 7.10 version.
I missed Synaptic and Automatix from previous version, or that K tool for upgrading updating system were ready to work.
I would like Envy or some other tool for Nvidia and ATI cards (as mine)

I used apt get of course, but Firefox (sorry I do not like Konqueror at all) was unable to be put easily - perhaps my fault - on the menu, and less on the desktop.

I would like a cube like compiz easy to configure, better if each side has a different background, starting as a rubick cube would be a great idea - I've read it is possible with new kde -.

And of course a lot more apps to put on my desktop as Vista has. A Google calendar, notebook, and mail ones would be a great idea.

Please upgrade ktorrent to be as transmission, (microtorrent and bittorrent like) or even put transmission on the package).

I would like a tool too to show resources (memory, processor and GPU) used by kde - or alternative desktops-, at least, at first we will be happy to see the saves and improvements.

And a GPU driver test for comparing versions, opensourde and propietary ones with KDE and even other libraries as opengl and drectx in windows and mac versions. A tool that would be useful to test other desktops too, as Gnome, or Xfce, and windows or Leopard desktops versus KDE when we install it

But it looks nice, it runs fast, and I'll be waiting for new versions to make it my default desktop, even when I'll work with windows if you finally make that port.

The new Kpackage manager is not functioning very well, specially when it's downloading more then one file simultaneously it just shows (13% 8.6kB/s 01h06m20s) and then replaces the line with (2% 4.1kB/s 01h06m5s) and . . . it's not even clear which package is in progress and which one is finished.
For now I prefer to use the old Adept manager from KDE3

ah. . . it also does not display the needed download sum of all selected packages for installation before committing the installation
