Using screensavers

I'm brand new to the Linux community. I've been a Windows user since 95, but I'm now building a new computer from the ground up and decided it's time for a change. Though I'm not quite ready for a complete change of scenery, so the operating system will definately have a Windows-like appearance. This leads me to my question: Is there a way of using any of the MS screensavers on a Linux computer? I have them all saved on disk. What type of binary information is needed to make them operate? Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I'll be using the NTFS-3g file system/driver.

Not sure you gonna get a decent reply here, this being a bare-bones kind of forum anyway.

If you are new to linux you are likely to be using kubuntu, right? In that case ask in the Ubuntu forums. Plenty of action there...

Thanks Toad. Actually, I'm using a friend's computer for the moment. Mine is still at the stage of intalling the new motherboard (Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3) with a AMD Athlon 64 x 2 (5600+) CPU and Western Digital 250 GB Sata hard drive. And of course, the pièce de résistance, a vintage Dell (circa mid-1990's) tower which everything's being installed into. :) We'll soon find out if I've bitten off more than I can chew. Thanks again for passing along that piece of information (good thing I wasn't holding my breath for a response).
