Setting "preferred application"

Hi,

KMail fires up Konq when I click on a link. That seems normal, of course, but I'd rather it use Mozilla/Iceweasel.

Other environments have MIME editors, but I can't seem to find KDE's. So, any hint appreciated.

Thanks.

Have a look at kcontrol -> KDE components -> file associations (the exact words may be different). There search for html.
It is highly configurable (in my opinion much better than what you have on windows or GNOME) but may be a bit buggy, so you have to experiment. Also make sure that kded is running in order to apply the settings (just start it in a konsole).
Enjoy

Thanks. I stumbled into it while trying to configure something else.

Very configurable, but hidden. In Windows and GNOME, an app for quickly and simply selecting basic, important apps like MUA & web browser hangs visibly off of a primary menu, not buried.

Everything is easy when you know how. I had to touch a windows computer recently after many a year and found it an absolute nightmare in user-friendliness. Couldn't find a thing!
