Well, your issue is different: he wants to make kde look like gnome, you somehow managed to start the gnome desktop under kde
Start ksysguard, look for gnome-related processes (like nautilus, bonobon, gnome-* etc..) and kill them.
Then logout and back in.
If the gnome desktop comes back, repeat the procedure and cleanout ~/.kde/share/config/sessions and ~/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc
