desktop icons - 3 different sizes 3 dif icons

hello... first post... and i want to know if it is possible to have different icon sizes for different icons at the same time in the desktop.

what things can be manipulated form the hidden file "directory" besides icon picture.

No, you can't use different icon sizes on kdesktop.
Help mee om KDE 3.5.5 in het Nederlands te vertalen

is there an application, or something like it to put a bigger icon?

With superkaramba you can add stuff to you desktop.
Dunno if that includes large icons.

kdesktop is removed from kde in the kde4 series because of limitations like this one.
So AFAIK it should be possible in kde4.
