Menu and "Filter function"

How can I turn on the "filter function" in Kmenu, I've got Mandriva 2007.
If you don't know what I mean, check this http://www.kde.org/screenshots/images/3.5/03-kicker.png
It's got the function turned on.

PS: This is my first post on this forum, greetings for everyone. I'm a newbie at some recent things in KDE, but I'm a bit experienced with linux, I had Mandrake for a year and a half. I still have some problems with some basic things, but it's getting better.

it's a SUSE hack, thus dunno if other distro's can provide it.

If you are adventurous, I can provide you the patch file which needs to be applied to the KDE kicker.

I have it working under Gentoo Linux....

It's not really a "hack". It's the Kickoff menu, which is being presented as an improved K Menu by openSUSE.

Some people (read: 3rd-party) have packaged kickoff for different distros. I can't seem to locate one for Mandriva on http://kde-apps.org but a quick Google search yielded this link: http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?t=67285&sid=

Hope that helps a bit or points you on what to search for ("kickoff mandriva").
