Install KDE from cd

Hi , I'm new here and in this world(KDE and linux)...I've got a question.
I've installed Ubuntu 6.10 in my pc with gnome, but I want to change and install KDE, I also have the kubuntu cd 6.10(so I have KDE, isn't it?). Is it possible install KDE from my cd? Which are the commands to install it in a right way?
Thanks

RE: Install KDE from cd

You don't need that Kubuntu CD, you can just install the kubuntu-desktop package, offered by Ubuntu.

I know but to install the kubuntu-desktop package I need an internet connection and I haven't it...so..I must install KDE from th Kubuntu cd, or is there another way to do it?

i'm not familiar with kubuntu, but i guess you could add the contents of the cd to your sources.list and then install the kde-desktop with the apt-get command that installs the kubuntu-desktop metapackage.
