I am running KMail 1.8.2 KDE 3.4.2 level "b" SUSE 10.0

My isp is verizon.net. The problem that I am having with KMail connection to Verizon isp is that I can send and receive mail from my primary email ID but I can only receive mail from my verizon sub accounts and not send mail without getting the message "5.7.3 Authentication required".

All of the settings seem correct including POP incoming.verizon.net and SMTP outgoing.verizon.net> I have worked this problem for several days trying all combinations that seemed logical without success.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
