[Kopete] The ICQ contact list is not loaded from server

Hi,
I am using openSuSE 10.1 with KDE 3.5.5. When I tried to add my ICQ account to Kopete, all whent well, except that there are no contacts in the contact list, only groups. I tried everything, even building kopete from source, but I had no sucsess. If anyone has an idea how to solve this problem, please tell me :-)

RE: [Kopete] The ICQ contact list is not loaded from server

Your contacts appear normally with other clients? And are the contacts visible in ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete/contactlist.xml ?

Hello,

I've the same problem.
Only the "visbility"-dialog of Kopete shows my contacts (only the numbers). The contacts.xml lists only the groups.
ICQ2Go shows all my contacts.
Any ideas?

(Woops! I meant this message for my thread, but it may be relevant to you as well).

It's apparently a known bug. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136566

Installing the version mentioned in one of the comments from http://ubuntu.lnix.net/misc/kopete-fix/ fixed my problem.

Hello!

I have the exact same problem here.
In my contacts.xml there are only the ICQ-Groups but no Accounts.

System: Debian/etc

Any Solutions so far?

I've updated to Kopete 0.12.3 and KDE 3.5.5 ("release 39.1" from the OpenSuse build-directorys) and now all seem to work fine for me.
