kmail 1.9.5 in kde 3.5.5 Identity problems

Hello,

I'm experiencing some problems in KMail since updating to KDE 3.5.5. To be specific i cannot send any email for what seems to be a combination of reasons.

I have several identities set up, A personal and various business accounts - each is set to use a specific send transport. It would seem that these settings are being ignored as KMail is always trying to send via the default transport, even if i set the transport manually after doing view -> Mail Tranport and choosing one other than the default.

The second problem is that it would seem the recipients I specify are ignored as I always get back a message saying

"Sending failed:
The attempt to start sending the message content failed. The server responded: "Error: no valid recipients"
The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove the message from the 'outbox' folder.
The following transport protocol was used: Home
Do you want me to continue sending the remaining messages?"

I have tried moving the following to different locations in order to start from scratch but the same problem persists, and KMail seems to remember some of the settings so i assume it saves some things elsewhere.

.kde/share/config/kmail
.kde/share/apps/kmail

Can anybody help?

Bumbedy bump!

This is driving me insane.. having to keep using webmail cos KMail wont send!

My desktop (same versions) seems to send mail just fine.. how can this be? (As i have deleted all KMails configs and started from scratch with it)
