Keyboard gone missing?

I need some help troubleshooting a keyboard issue in KDE 3.5.4 on Fedora Core 5.

KDE seems to be ignoring my keyboard. It works fine on the login screen, and it works fine in other desktop managers, so I know that the keyboard is OK.

If anyone knows anything about troubleshooting keyboard issues in KDE, then any help would be much appreciated.

The keyboard is a Logitech PS/2 Internet keyboard.

As it turns out, I registered to this forum precisely to ask about that same problem. KDE 3.3.5. I've noticed that the keyboard configure dialog box also happens to be completely blank, except for the standard Help/OK/Apply/Cancel buttons along the bottom.
