[Kopete] Google Talk

Hello, I'm new here and was just curious if you guys had thought of adding Google Talk support for kopete. My work only allows Google Talk to be used to talk to co-workers, so this would be great to have. Thanks!

RE: [Kopete] Google Talk

I apologize for not searching hard enough. Thank you very much for the link.

After about 5 min of having it "connecting.." it says "There was a connection error: Operation is not supported."?? I did everything according to that link to a tee. talk.google.com, port 5223, username, password, and it just sits there. What could be the problem? Kopete does use the proxy settings from KDE CC, right?

I downloaded and installed (through yum) the "qca-tls" package, and it says that kopete needs the library. I assume that the libqca-tls.so file needs to be put somewhere that kopete can scan? I can't seem to find any documentation where to put it.

RE: [Kopete] Google Talk

Just the normal prefix, /usr or /usr/local should be enough to make Kopete detecting it.

GTalkPhone

Hi, why don't you try to use GTalk Phone (www.gtalkphone.com). Its a service that works well with Google Talk. You can make PC to Phone calls and vice versa! Let me know how it goes! Cheers!
