Existing users really slow

I recently upgraded Xorg from 6.9 to 7.0 and now my existing users are really slow in starting up kde and launching apps, new users and gnome are not affected.

Could anyone help me fix this?

on irc you told that 'root' experiences the same problem.

What you can do is try to clean out the /root directory: remove al configuration folders (e.g. .kde, .gnome, etc..) and configuration files until the problem is solved for root.
While doing that, figure out after wich files/folders were deleted the problem was solved.

Well I deleted just about every .***server*** .X*** .font*** .***auth*** .***session*** and .***DCOP*** file from my home dir and that solved the problem for my user and then did the same for root which solved roots problem, donĀ“t have a clue which file was the actual culprit though, as I wiped all those files in one go, system seems faster than ever :)
