KDE doesn't save mouse options

Hello,

since I have a Logitech MX310, the KDE control center(3.4.2) offers special MX310 mouse configurations (set resolution to 400cpi or 800 cpi).
I already have option Resolution set to 800 in xorg.conf.
While the mouse is still properly configured in the graphical login manager, KDE always sets it back to 400 during start-up, while it initializes devices and the mouse becomes slow.
Having a look in the control center proofs -> KDE set it back to 400 (xorg.cong still 800).
When I change it back to 800 in kcontrol, it works fine again....until the next start of KDE.

How can I tell KDE to keep the 800cpi configuration? Or how can I tell KDE to respect the xorg.conf?

Regards,
Dan

RE: KDE doesn't save mouse options

Thank you for this hint.
Is there any way to get the information if this is fixed in later releases, without the need to register and to login?

Please let me know if there is a workaround, e.g. a command line tool to set the resolution, which I can put into the autostart.

Regards,
Dan

Try to install lmctl. Thisi is a command line tool which enables you to set the resolution.

Thank you very much. lmctl is part of my distribution.
