Is there a menu utility like this...?

Is there an applet anywhere that lets you search the main KDE menu by text string?

When I used Window$, there was a very useful utility called ShellSearch. When you typed a search string, it listed any Start Menu entries whose titles contained the string. You could then click them to run them, or see and change their properties, right from the search window.

The bigger and more complicated my K menu gets, the more I'd like to have something like that! If anyone knows about one, thanks for sharing.

SuSE is the only distribution with exactly that feature. Vanilla KDE does not offer that option.

I realize KDE doesn't include it. I wondered if perhaps someone (that is, a 3rd party) had written something like it. Might not be a bad idea!

At the very least, it'd be helpful if Kmenuedit had a Find command which would move the selection to the next menu item containing the searched-for string.
