Konqueror suggestion--'Open as other user'

When you need root permissions to open (e.g. edit) a file, wouldn't it be much easier if Konqueror had an "Open as other user" command in its Actions context menu? Then you could open the file from your existing (non-root) window, rather than having to open a root shell each time. (You'd still have to enter the root p/w, of course.)

Or is there already a way to do this, and I just don't know about it?

Forgot to mention: put that file in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus and restart Konqueror to see it appear in the Actions menu when you rightclick a file.

Bram85: Wow, that is just awesome! Thank you! What a great example of the open-source spirit...

And I'm sorry it took me this long to check the thread again. That's what happens when you fall behind in email.

Anyway, thanks again---very cool! Cheers, Ander
