Konqueror service menus

Is planned in forthcoming version of KDE any tool to make service menus? Some alternative to nautilus-actions or thunar´s custom actions would be really nice. Probably only avaiable but discutably useful article is http://developer.kde.org/documentation/t…rvicemenus.html which is quite pity. Service menus (and their alternatives) are small things but they have huge impact on whole desktop usability and shouldnt be omitted as they currently seem by the most of free software developers not to mention the unability of most programs to claim apropiriate file extensions associations. I apologize if i sound angry but these things as windows migrate annoy me ...

RE: Konqueror service menus

I just checked kde-apps.org for service menu editors, but couldn't find any. Together with the article you mentioned and the numerous example menu's on kde-apps.org, it should be sufficient to create a new service menu easily, no?

It could be sufficent source in some cases but it will lack deeper understanding of "whats going on". In such situation would be imho better to have some intuitive tool written by someone enligthened rather than hand-made service menus.

It might still be buildable and do the thing you require for a service menu.

And it might be a good starting point to get involved with KDE development :)
