kvim transparent background

Greetings:

Does anyone know whether KVim, the KDE version of the lengendary VIM editor, offers an option to set the background transparent to achieve the "see-through" effect I get when running the original vim inside a Konsole terminal?

I'm not aware of any way to set KVim to appear transparent.

If you are looking for a transparent vim you can try Yzis (http://www.yzis.org/) which looks to be a KDE friendly text editor similar to vim. The project isn't fully complete yet, but if you are willing to live on the bleeding edge I'm sure they'd appreciate another tester.

Cheers.
