Hi,
Is does anybody know if there is a class in KDE that handles desktop operations
that is responsible to arrange all the windows on it, the icons, wallpaper and so on. if not is there a QT calss that does that?

The windows are arranged by the window manager, on KDE this is usually KWin.

The desktop is a program called KDesktop, which is part of the kdebase package. (KWin as well)

It might be better to ask what you really want to achieve.

I can suggest a _bad_ way (through DCOP call):

KShellProcess pr;
pr << "dcop" << kdesktop" << "KDesktopIface" << "selectAll";
pr.start(KProcess::DontCare);
