Audio only with Kopete in KDE 3.5.

i finally installed the newest version via cvs, and the yahoo webcam works, but i'm still having problems. it could just be my webcam, but the person on the other end receives the picture as being extremely desaturated and extremely low-contrast, so all she sees is a faint, gray outline of me. it looks fine on my end. the adjustment sliders for the webcam still do not save or seem to have any effect.

[KOPETE] Recieving Webcam

i agree completely. i refuse to move to another chat program. i've tried several others, and i'll continue to try others, but i still haven't (and probably never will) find one i like better than kopete. however, if i find a program i can use for my webcam, i'll be forced to use two chat programs... anyway, i'm sure this problem will be fixed eventually. i just hope it's sooner rather than later.

[KOPETE] Recieving Webcam

i've been trying to use my webcam with the yahoo protocol, but i can't even find the "send webcam" button. i'd rather stay away from having to register an account with msn.

umm

speaking of false advertizing, yahoo webcam support doesn't exist, either, unless i'm mistaken. i bought a cheap (but working and linux-compatible) webcam just for kopete. kopete recognizes it and i can see images from it with no problem. however, there is no way to "broadcast" webcam images. so, unless i'm just confused and there's some hidden button/menu item, yahoo webcam support doesn't exist.

yeah

i've been wondering the same thing for a long time now. i'm on gentoo, which i've been very happy with for the most part. unfortunately, i can't get php to emerge properly (because a certain dep doesn't emerge properly) so i can't emerge subversion, so i can't follow the instructions at http://kopete.kde.org/svnaccess.php . seems like even if i could follow them, i still wouldn't be able to broadcast from my webcam... it's all very frustrating. i bought a new linux-compatible webcam just so i co...
