Has anyone used FileBrowse, a file manager, for OS X? http://www.filebrowse.com/ Just from looking at the website it looks very nice, and it would be nice to see icons of a similar style in KDE 4. If someone has used it are there good ideas that should be borrowed for the KDE 4 file manager?

Thanks for all the help, I just tried DoomCPU again today, and it works great. I've changed distros since my initial post (I'm running Kubuntu now), so I don't know if there are any issues running it on Debian Unstable. Thanks.
Right click on the kicker, click "Add Applet to Panel...", a window will pop up displaying the available applets, select System Tray, and click "Add to Panel". Cheers.
If you want to change the color of the kicker, Open the Control Center (kcontrol) -> Desktop -> Panels -> Appearance tab. You should look at the Panel Background section. If you are trying to change the color of a transparent panel click on the "Advanced Options" button at the bottom of the screen. Cheers.
I think that the level of difficulty playing mp3 files is related to the distribution you are running. For example on Kubuntu getting mp3s to play only required that I install a couple packages. http://www.kubuntu.org/faq.php#mp3s Good Luck.

Wishes belong in bugzilla (http://bugs.kde.org/). But if I just wanted to see avi files sorted by size I could enter in the address bar /some/directory/*.avi, then press the Size column header. Good Luck.
giraf, 2. Wallet is a system to store all your passwords in one place. For more information go to Help (khelpcenter) -> "Control Center Modules" -> "KDE Wallet". You can configure KWallet in the control center... Control Center (kcontrol) -> "Security & Privacy" -> KDE Wallet. Good Luck.

I'm running KDE 3.4.2, so I'm assuming it's the same for your version. To turn KWalletmanager off... 1. Open the Control Center 2. Select "Security & Privacy" 3. Select "KDE Wallet" 4. Uncheck "Enable the KDE wallet subsystem" Cheers.
Maybe you're thinking about something different, but I think you can just setup your desktop the way you like it, goto "Appearance & Themes" -> "Theme Manager", and press the "Create New Theme..." button. A new theme will be created using your current desktop setup. Hope that's what you're looking for. Cheers.
A GeForce 6600 128MB provides more than enough horsepower for KDE, I just (two weeks ago) upgraded to a GeForce 4000 MX from a NVidia Vanta. Both cards run fine. As to what this particular problem is I don't know. I guess I'll list off the usual suspects... _ Have you checked your xorg logs? _ Do you have the latest NVidia drivers? _ Are you running with transparency/drop shadows? _ Does the problem occur at regular intervals, or when you do something specific? (Can you reproduce the problem?) H...
I'm sorry I can only help with #3. 1. Open Control Center 2. Goto "Appearance & Themes" -> Style 3. Goto the Effects tab 4. Make certain that "Enable GUI effects" is checked 5. Locate the "Rubberband effect" drop down and select "Make translucent" That should do it. Cheers.

Thank you very much, your advice worked. I used the carousel.desktop that you supplied. (I removed the SuSE specific second line.) For fellow Debian users, the screensaver desktop files are in /usr/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/. Thanks again.
I noticed in xscreensaver there's a screensaver named Carousel. It loads a number of different images then rotates them around. The thing is I don't see it in the KDE Control Center. The box to the left of the screensaver in xscreensaver is checked, but I can't get it to appear in the Control Center. Does anyone know how to do this. Thanks.
