I'm using the Lipstik theme in KDE. Tabs have a top border, and I'd like to change this color only. I am able to change this color in the KDE configuration but it changes the color of other elements as well. How can I change only the color of the top border of tabs? Thanks,
Thanks, I went to the "Style" menu and searched in the options but I didn't see where to remove the rounded corners and to remove the 3D effect of input text fields. Any idea?
In KDE, the border of input fields (ie: where you type your password) is rounded and has a sort of shadow. I'd like to remove the shadow and to remove the rounded corners. How can I do that? Thanks.
Thanks Bram, the only options I saw under Settings > Profiles is the "Save URLs in profile" that I checked, but if I have several tabs open and if I close Konqueror, when I reopen it, I lose all my tabs
How can I autosave session in Konqueror like I do in Opera? Each time I close Konqueror and open it, it starts with a blank page and I lose my previous open tabs. I think I can save a session, but what I want to do is save the current session automatically so that when I start Konqueror again, it has all my tabs open. Also, I don't want to leave Konqueror always open. Thanks,
I removed icons from Konqueror's web browser, and I found out that the file browser was changed also. Isn't there a way to have more icons on the file browser interface than on the web browser's? Thank,
How to use Konqueror as an FTP client on KDE? Several FTP clients for KDE have been either discontinued or their development has been stalled. But the good news is that the most famous FTP client is under constant development and its name is Konqueror. http://digg.com/linux_unix/How_to_use_Ko…P_client_on_KDE
I am creating a shell script and that install an icon set. Problem is that if you want to see changes, you have to log out and to log back in. I don't want that, and I want to use my shell script (not the k control center). I know there is a trick to have the new icon set to show up right away without having to log out, but I don't remember... I think there's a process that I need to kill... Do you remember? Do you know how I could do that? Thanks
I installed Windows Vista Ultimate here, and I can say that KDE is at light years behind Windows Vista. Will KDE have Aero with 3D and transparency effects? I wish KDE were a lot better, it has some potential, but... How can we directly influenciate developers to integrate some Aero-like tool into KDE 4?
Thanks! I put: [KMenu] ShowText=true Text=Start And now I can have a "Start" menu. How can I change color of the "Start" text?
I'm also interested, actually I already created a cursor theme but I don't know in what file extension this has to be and what else I need to do...
I'd like to redraw all widgets, toolbars, input boxes, buttons, tabs, borders, etc...of KDE. I wasn't able to find documentation to change the old look and feel and use mine instead. Could you help me please? I have 2 friends who are C++/Qt developers who could help me compile code if necessary. What I need to know is where these image files are located to replace old look and feel. Thanks,
Man, what happened to your fonts?
Thank you Bram. I have many web sites to manage. Where can I store these usernames and passwords?
I'd also like profiles if possible with my passwords saved for each site...
Thank you! Awesome BTW, do you know where I can find the directory where these preferences are saved ? It's gotta be somewhere under ~/.kde
You can't just use the configurations to achieve all I changed in the mockup. Code programming is necessary, such as putting the "Loading" icon inside the location bar, or setting a background gradient behind tabs. The "New tab" icon was placed in the main toolbar, like it is in Opera and Firefox so that newcomers know where to find it right away
Whatever distro you use, KDE still has thick borders, large buttons and everything is not refined as a whole.
Let's hope they revamp Konqueror's UI Revamp konqueror interface and use less screen space http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134932
