I too am having this problem on Mandrake 10.1. I did manage to get it to finish the compilation on a test box. It did stop several times saying one package or other was missing. once i installed the package and restarted the make install it would continue on but i can't get the system to start the kde 3.4 at all. most of the time i get the same error as above though
