Just now I ran netstat and whois, surprisingly found that kopete and kmess wanted to connect to a server also belongs to the Dell.com. Now I've changed the name server back to the ISP's, everything is OK now. My windows box's setting ...

I checked both Debian and KDE bug reports and didn't find any relevant information, maybe the problem is really on my side, but I can't find any clue.

Customizing Konqi Toolbar

I just finished kubuntu installation, to my surprise, it's konqueror's toolbar arrangement is exactly what I want, very clean. It also adds some small but nice extra features to the stock KDE, such as google suggests for search bar. On the other hand, I don't like it's idea of hidding many kde apps from kmenu - kmail, knode, kwrite, kappfinder and much more, this may make kmenu less cluttered, but very inconvenient IMHO.

How can I merge Konqi's mainbar, location bar and search bar in one row, as this picture shows: http://dot.kde.org/1111216989/1111240183…18/toolbars.png I searched the forum and found this thread: http://www.kde-forum.org/post/55725/lastpost.html#post55725 exactly as the last post said, I can remove all the widgets on the location bar, hide the location bar, then add those widgt to the main bar, but I can't add the...

Where does "Store Window Settings" save to?

Do you mean "special window settings"? It is stored in $HOME/.kde/config/kwinrulesrc.
